Getting a Max model and it's UV's into ZBrush

For a year or two I’ve been casually looking into Z-Brush as I had no tablet. In that time, much of it spent here, I have seen loads of supposedly ‘Max-ZBrush’ tutorials. But most of them start from Z-Spheres and go back to Max. None that I have seen explain how to ‘tell’ ZBrush that the model I have imported has UV’s layed out in Max (so I can get all the sculpting details back into Max through maps). This is obviously because so many people use Maya, but I think at this point ZBrush has been around long enough. I’ve looked at the offline reference, all sorts of tutorials, none of them explain. I have sculpted several levels in Z-Brush of my Max obj without knowing whether or not I should set a texture first and how to tell ZBrush the model has UV’s and I don’t know if I will be able to get the details back out.

Can anyone help?

No one knows?

If the obj has UVs ZBrush will know, no need to tell it! You don’t have to UV map in Max either, you can create your UVs in ZB if you want. You won’t really be able to do any hand painting in Photoshop with ZB UVs though.
