General use problems.

Hi all,

I currently have zbrush on trial - basically my main problem is simply selecting an object.

I created, lets say a sphere. If i press T right after making it, I can edit it, move it etc…

If I make another object, or go out of edit mode and press pretty much any key I find it impossible to “reselect” my original object and go into edit mode once again… All that I end up being able to do is create more clones of my mesh…

I have to admitt it is really frustrating now, that I cant seem to find anything like a simple ‘cursor tool’ for selecting an object to which I can then take into edit mode? urgh!

Thanks in advance,
Luke

you’re thinking of Zbrush like a 3d app…it’s a painting application with depth.

Once you leave “t” edit mode, you drop the object so it is 2.5D…if you create another object or stroke then that object is 2.5 forever. At least in relation to the canvas.

If you find that object in your tool panel then you can draw it out on the canvas and hit T again to go into edit mode.
you don’t have a cursor or selection tool because you can’t manipulate objects the same way. If you want multiple objects in a scene you need to use subtools (basically different objects within the “scene”)

But like I said, the main problem is that you’re thinking 3d, not 2.5

Hope this helps.
