Hey all,
I’m just starting out with zbrush and 3d and I’ve just finished up detailing on a model in zbrush. Ive laid out the uvs by hand and taken the zbrush model and made a displacement map out of it. The problem is when rendering in mental ray, i get a big loss in detail, plus many black “dead pixel” looking squares on the rendered image. Can anyone tell me if this is a problem with the map, or the render settings, or possibly both? Any help would be appreciated. I’ve attached a sample image of both the rendered image from maya and from zbrush. Thanks.
