This is my first post on ZbrushCentral. The concept behind the Gator Fort is that it’s a giant walking fort that holds soldiers, catapults, harpoons, tents, crates, and weapons. It is steered by the eight cranks on its back. The warrior and ox are work in progresses and I really want to redo and improve the fur and folds on the warrior. Hope you like it. Comments and critiques are welcome.
I knew when i came to this site i would be inspired.
Such a cool cool concept. I love it. How long did it take you to finish the models? Not the finished composition, just the creation of the models.
POST MORE WORK!
I worked on the creature itself for about three weeks, and all the equipment on its back took one week.
That is great man. Are you going to animate it? That would be cool to swoop down and see how that civilization survives.
Can you show some close ups of the skin textures? Im doing a dino and it would be inspiring to see the scale work you did.
nice stuff but i wonder:
why do you need a army with a big beast like that?
unless the enemy got one as well…one swoop of the tail and they are all dead and the catapult won’t hurt the enemies crock.
crocks on and don’t move very gratious so it will make a bumpy ride indeed.
but the models looks pretty good though
strict9- Thanks
DAnconia- Thanks, man. I’ve actually made a fly-by across its back and turntable for it, that I’ll try to post soon. As for the texture close-ups, any closer and they won’t hold up that well.
Here’s a sketch I did recently and spent about 2 hours on it.
Great idea! Looking very menacing! Other models are awesome as well!
nice, how long have u been using zbrush?
Great work, very inspiring
You know what the funny thing is? I looked at the gator and knew there was something “wrong” but couldn’t tell what it was and i’m not talking about the peaces on his back.
On the last screen i noticed what it was.
THIS BEAST HAS 6 I MEAN SIX LEGS.
Cool stuff any way. Great work
SolidSnakexxx- Thanks a lot.
zaheer07- Thanks. I started using ZBrush a year and half ago and have loved working with with ever since.
3dommi- Thanks
JackalGer- Thanks. It is kinda funny, and i’ve seen a lot of people not notice the 6 legs at first.
infamouskiller-Thanks
Heres another sketch I did. Spent about 2 hours on this one too. I’m thinking about making an entire character out of this one.
