coolll…nice…i cannt speak…but i have question
1.how z3 usw for game, cause z3 cannt use normal map?
2.in some case z3 is powerfull, how far ?..i mean i donnt know what studio use z3 for movie–sorry newbie question–
You can use zbrush 2 to generate your normalmap.
But now znrush 3.1 has zmappe compatible.
Regarding the use of zbrush in movie industrie, I’m not a specialist, but ther’s tones of fx studio that use it. Like ILM for ex!
Havent posted for a long while but just had comment on your work. Amazing to see it come to life from the base figure to he final render, Your attention to detail is something to admire. The look of your piece is awsome. Excellent work Sebcesoir. A very deserved top row.
this is a very good job, congrats!
Is there any possibility of doing a video tutorial with voice commentary on your cloth painting technique?
Here’s a small tutorial on the stripes:

sebcesoir stripes.zip (8.55 KB)That’s awesome!!
Thanks you very kindly. That’s been one of the foggy areas for me.
Thanks for clearing it up!!! keep up the GREAT work.
Amazing job. Because it is so good, the little things stand out. Here is some constructive criticism.
Some of the stitches look a little large. During the WIP pics it was not noticeable but when you see the finished pic some of the stitches just looks too big and sometimes a little inconsistent in quality.
I think that the colors used in the suit are a little too saturated and raw. You might want to tone them down a bit. Also, the brown mustard green tone of the the belts is really clashing with the primary red/blue of the suit. You might want to look into that.
Great job. I never know if people want criticism or merely praise so I hope this was ok. Really top notch work.
Sebcesoir, thanks for the tut! I don’t understand one thing: I tried to recreate your technique, but when I use the simple brush I have to leave edit mode. I can’t get back to edit mode once I made the stripes. Your ZScript does that very thing. How??
hey Sebcesoir…thank you for tutroial !!!
Plakkie, you tryed to do it in direct 3d right?
You have to do it in projection master.
Thx for the suggestions Kaibosh.
Regarding the stiches, theyre surely to big, bot to be real, they should be so subtile, I’m not should they would be noticed, metling into the fabric…
You might be right with the colors suggestions…
Hey Seb, this is super cool… great.
The best for me… the incredible suite, and sorry but i dont like the helmet
PS: Great wip (and very inspiring)
All the best friend

Projection master?? Doh! So it still has some use in Z3.1 eh?
Thanks for the quick answer Seb!
I’ve tried to read through the entire thread but could not find an answer so here’s a question: how did you make the glass transparent? Is it with a nearly black texture or did you come up with a neater trick [you’ve mentioned layers hence the question]? Cheers.
Merci seb
Nice work and really interesting tutorial !
vraiment superbe !
merci de partager ton travail.
Wew , … that is really GOOD ! O_o …
what was the resolution to your base mesh, ur base mesh was extremely smoothed and looked like it was about a few million polys, u must have had a very laggy experience in that small laptop if it were in the millions
many thanks seb
ur zscript was very very enlightening
thanks for being such a great inspiration and keep up the awesome work
