Futuristic Building designing

Thanks jotajota:)

Been looking for some ways to add details onto the building and been thinking of using the stencil - stencil > making > inflate OR stencil > draw over stencil with edit draw or edit layer as draw for depth.
or
make 3d from an alpha image and use the 3d model onto the desiign

I’ve been following the progress of this since the first post. You’re doing a really good job mate. I love seeing progress on this piece.

abxy thanks for the thumbs up:cool:

Using the art nouveau texture > decobrush > rotate or scale or move > to twist and shape and re-shape in new designs.

decobrush to paint over copy.jpg

Using the decobrush when I got a design that I want to use I saved it - but when I re-loaded the ztl I get the same ztl as the org.

I think it is something simple that I am not doing to be able to save the newly created design as an decobrush ztl. Any help with saving the decobrush designs?

Is it possible that you can use the mrgb grabber or something to save the designs as alphas? that’s just a thought of the top of my head.

abxy yes that should work as an work around if the decobrush designs can not be saved as an ztl- the canvas should be filled with the plane3d tool then use the decobrush to cretae the designs and grab from off the plane3d filled canvas - I think:small_blue_diamond:

also: texture > grab doc (which I think is mrgb grabber) > make alpha > load decobrush from tools from off of a plane3d filled canvas

Thanks for the input abxy it got me thinking about work arounds:+1:

Seems like Russian movement
Try to use the Cameyo Zplace , very more powerful than the deco brush
Pilou

Pilou thank you  and for Cameyo’s ZPlace tip :+1:

Pilou - you posted the following link about Ernst Haeckel’s art or sketchbook (seashells etc)
http://caliban.mpiz-koeln.mpg.de/~stueber/haeckel/kunstformen/natur.html

which has some wonderful links to full pages of the drawings.

My question to you is have you during your :sunglasses: cataloging of the art on the internet come across links like the Ernst Haeckel link (online library) for Alphonse Mucha - Victor Horta and Arthur Rackham and if so would you please post them here or pm them to me.

Generaly a cool start is used ArtCyclopedia !
Arthur Rackman
Victor Horta
Alphonse Musha
And just surf on the links of sites ! (Images archives are the more numerous)
You will find all beauties that you want
Pilou
Ps An another trick is directly use the Google images research !
Pss http://www.artrenewal.org has very good reproductions and numerous! (for the 19 century)
Try this one Inspiration
A total crazzy site!

Pilou:sunglasses: excellent links Thanks:+1: :+1: :+1:

Nice original use of ZB, excellent stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

Bas Mazur thanks for the hesds up - M.C. Escher:cool: is one artist I like.
Just a basic experiment in designing a building .

Thanks Buckie

Contuining working a desgin by re-designing the building model. Using the basic edit > draw and move and scale tools

…of the Chrysler Building !
Pilou

Pilou the obj model of the building I am using for re-designing a futureistic building was a free model download and I think it was of he Chrysler buildimg. Any 3d model of a building can be used for re-designing.

I have been learning Z2’s basic tools and paint tools and have not gotten to much into the 3d zspheres yet. A lot to learn with the basic tools and paint tools. Though those that use zspheres could make the building from them. I do not know how to do this yet - so I re-design from a 3d model and when I get it to where I like the design I’m thinking about drawing it onto the canvas and use Z2’s paint tools to paint over it - the re-designed 3d model becomes the sketch to work from. As it is a 3d model basic perspective is done and by looking at the moddel at different angels different perspectives can be seen. And by saving the 3d model as a ztl it can be used over landscapes or space backgrounds by drawing it in and painting it. By - “Comp test using Pixolator’s white material” or some other type material gives the model white places to paint onto.

Adding character to the building some post work with adobe elements liquify brush

Learned some different z2 tools usages doing the designing
Maybe these postings will help some in learning some basic uses of Z2 for creating futuristic buildings.

Is is posible to change the center of rotation in ZPlace2 when using the MultiMarkers? It seems like the center of rotation must be the center of the object.

I am also having trouble if several Markers lie in the same location (with different rotations) for different Marked objects … for example, if you set Snap and Markers on and set _MoveX,Y&Z=0 and _RotationX&Y=0 and _Rotation=20 then type “6” several times then make a PolyMesh the resulting object you will only get the last object Marked in the new PolyMesh. Is this a problem with ZBrush?

macgreg

I have that same problem sometimes…the only way I can solve it…it seems is to re init zbrush and start over…I don’t know if it is me or zbrush but it happens whether I use zplace or not so I don’t think it’s a zplace problem but can’t say for sure.

Cameyo is a very helpful dude…he is the guy who wrote the zplace script and you might want to address this question in that thread so that he will see it and maybe help ya out.
