This shaggy mustang colt is 98% Zbrush, just a little antaliasing in Photoshop. And yes, horses do get shaggy in winter
Nice pony, looks like one of those tabletop models.
Cool shaggy pony. Looks like a fast runner.
My on said the original looked like it had a pinata for a head,
so here is a revised modelā¦
Pilou
Have to agree with your sonā¦second head is much betterā¦the snout seemed a bit out of proportion to rest of body.
Liked the coloring of first though!!
Keep experimenting you are on the right track.
There is an old old thread by Marcel I think it was who was trying to figure out how to use multiple version of fiber brush to get varying kinds of fur or hair and I believe Aurick posted a great fix or work around that may help ya out with working with itā¦if I get a chance Iāll try to find itā¦in meantime I think a search on fiber brush would bring it upā¦it might even be in the links listed below this thread here.
Keep on going!!
I think I did find the post about saving the brushe settings as a tool. Actually I did figured that one out already I will continue to work on the colt refining it etc. although I think that heads and fantasy characters āsell betterā on the forum.
I enjoy fantasy art and love to create strange and mythical beasties, but for learning Zbrush I find it much more challenging to create real subjects.
Since my background is 2D I find it hard work modeling in 3D, especially since allot of the artists here start in Maya or some other program and use Z later in the process. Lighting and texturing (like the teddy bear) also remain for the large part a mystery. I have been doing the tutorials and downloading Zscripts which does helpā¦some of them are quite mysterious, they click on a button with no explanation and you want to stop the script and say, hey why did you do that?
But I will soldier on And thank you once again for your feedback!
The horses look nicy nice. That critter looks like it wants to play tag. The three eyes look good and shiny.
I barely think of this program as a 3d program to be honest. You have to draw your own perspective, and thatās a really fun thing about Z-brush. It gets easier everytime you make something, just like other art forms.
I refined the model and tried the fiberbrush again.
lookin good!!
reminds me of old 4h days!
Your getting better and better with the fiberbrush, Shannon !
The model has good lighting so itās not that of a mystery to you,ā¦and i liked that little mud-monster
jantim
hey,
i like the 3rd one best!
maybe you can reduce the size of the eye.
The first two seem to be a little bit noisy
apart from that its goodjob!
mfg
I played around with the āeye boneā and refined the colt a little more.
Hope you like it
Now that is starting to look sharp.
all i have to say is just beautifulā¦
I want to pet him now!
Lookinā good!!
