I have a couple of questions regarding finalizing my work.
My workflow is based on creating characters and props in ZBrush and Poser and then dropping them into Photoshop, where I will add the background etc.
I have been looking at 3D packages like Maya and Cinema 4D to include perspective and lighting for final render. However I’m not sure if I need them. More importantly I really can’t afford the 3D apps. Even though C4d is currently half price I have heard it’s not really the best.
Here are my questions:
Is there a correct procedure to export a project with materials and colours (or separating alphas) etc from ZBrush, which can then be adjusted for a finished project in Photoshop?
Is there any advantage in working on an exported ZBrush project in Photoshop CS4 (3D feature) or would Photoshop 8 give the same results?
If anyone is aware of any tutorials: “from ZBrush to Photoshop” I’d be really grateful. I have searched but always find Maya included. I appreciate this is the industry standard but surly not everyone can afford Maya.
Any pointers would be gratefully received. THANKS!
