Hi!
Here I want to share another ancient god with you. It´s Baphomet.
He´s my base for a new “painting” but I´m still in the phase of posing him. Hope you like him. C+C are welcome as always.
Hi all!
Here another new artwork. I call him “Black earl”. It´s completely done in Zbrush, also the texturing. In photoshop I only smoothed some edges.
I played around with matcaps and lightning. Here you can find MaxBlinn, Metal, Basic Material (modified) and Fastshader.
Hope you like him.
wonderful
Great work
Congratulations
Cheers
Fernando
I really like the asymmetry on your black earl.
Great updates, especially the last pic! Would love to see some Wip shots of that one -> great sculpt & texture!
I agree with Etcher – great updates! The last one is awesome!
Now you should model Earl Grey.
Would love to see some Wip shots
Sorry, have no WIP-shots. But maybe this pic could give you a bit more insight.
It was -again- an artwork without any plan. I wanted to do a speedskulpt, some ugly head. But I liked the head, when he was done and so I tried to “make anything with it”.
During the work I had the idea to give him one arm and holding something bizarr in his hand. maybe like a butler, holding a tablet with a glass of wine with human eyes in it. Something like that. I am still open for ideas…
you are crazy What a sculpt! 5*!
Damn nice detailing
You using HD Geo to the fine details ?
You’re work definitely has a flavor of the macabre and demonic, hell666. Very interesting how you pictured Lucifer in your piece. Usually, he’s pictured as an imposing, frightening looking figure, with big horns, a pitchfork, red skin, and fire and brimstone. He’s actually referred to in the Bible as a rebellious angel, coveting God’s position, likened to a serpent, who was forcibly evicted from heaven, and exiled to the Earth. It appears your design is a closer interpretation to the description in the Bible, except for the fire.
awesome last scuplt. i really like it.
Fantastic details on the sculpting. Congratulations!

What? I am still learning. I know 50% of Zbrush but have no idea what is HD-geometry. I use to start with a subtool, subdevide it and after some time it is a finished sculpt. Just have to learn…

Lucifer is an interesting character because he has different meanings in the different times and cultures. You are right with your interpretation. That´s the christian way of interpretation.
But, f.e., he also is the symbol for the sunrise, the morning star, the light-bringer. Lux ferre. I also know the version, that he brings cognition with his flame. But that´s from earlier times where the christians did not exist. The bible came many 100 years later. They took a lot from the old greece gods for their book. The description of “God” is exactly Zeus. The devil is the same like the greece Pan. There are some more, don´t have them in my mind yet.
Oh, well, yes, my Baphomet. Coming soon. Later.
Well, I wouldn’t say they are exactly alike. There are some significant differences between Zeus of greek mythology and Yahweh (Jehovah) of the Bible, as well.
Zeus was born, and dies, and is reborn. Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting.
There were many greek gods. Christianity is a monotheism. One God.
Zeus, like Tiger Woods, slept around with earthly women behind his wife, Hera’s back.
Yahweh’s laws totally prohibited such behavior. In fact, certain angels, along with their offspring, were condemned because they slept with the daughter’s of men.

Ahhhh … sorry. I was only speaking of their look!!! Not of their meaning.
Awesome sculpt! nice details
How did you do the clothes? They came out really well.

I took the upper body from a male-sculpt, masked the jacket and extracted it. After that I appended it to my Earl, placed it an then started working it out.
The same I did with the rest.
