Free models: OBJ and ZTL files

I’m pretty green to ZBrush, and one of the things I’m enjoying is the ability to load and work with the existing models. Are there sites and services out there where people share their models for downloading?

Also, are there additional discs available of different models to load for ZBrush? I do want to work a lot with the human form, so any recommendations there are welcome, but what about other models and obj and ztl files?
Any resources out there?

Thanks.

Learn to sculpt them, or you’ll never learn anything at all

There are some Ztls that come with Zbrush by default. These are available in the default content folders. There are some more on the main Pixologic site in the downloads sections. They should provide you with a solid basis for testing Zbrush features.

Google will probably lead you to other assorted “free” models on the web, some possibly in an OBJ format you can use, but you tend to get what you pay for. There are a number of commercial sites that sell models, like Turbosquid.

Generally, dont expect a wealth of high quality models for free. They take effort and skill to produce, and are traded accordingly.

One of the best Ztls that you can buy is Zack Petroc’s anatomy dummy:

Share CG is pretty good. http://www.sharecg.com

Turbosquid is also useful, but most worthwhile stuff is for purchase. http://turbosquid.com/
