"Frame" button throwing my mesh off the screen & causing other weird behavior.

Ok. This is on a I5-2400 3.10ghz CPU system running Windows 10 Home with 8 GB of Ram.

I’m new at this, and have tried to clean up a topology for the first time. I’m having a lot of trouble. Every time I hit the frame button my mesh is thrown above the screen, and I have to alt+lmb all over the place to find it.

After that alt-lmb seems to have completely new behavior. Now that combo seems to track me down along the Y axis from some point past the mesh. Worse than that, the topology brush seems to no longer accept new points.

I’m about to lose around 12 hours of work if I can’t fix this. If anybody has a clue about what’s going on I’d love to hear it. Including a screenshot as required.Topology.png

If the mesh gets lost again, just hit F to frame it in the centre.

When you press F, it frames the subtool you have selected.
If you press it again, then it frames all the subtools (so all active subtools are framed in your viewport).
You can cycle it just pressing F.

So be sure you dont have more than 1 subtool (or hidden polys (check with “double”) or something in the same subtool), and its trying to frame all of them.

Also you can save camera presets. Under texture - image plane - reference views.
In that menu, you have some custom views (front, back, right left…)
And you also can create custom camera presets with the “Cust1” and “cust2” (Click one, pose your view and hit store view).

Maybe thats not a solution for the strange thing you are getting. But that way you could work at least…
