Fragments of a Working Man - Digital Sculpture

I deliberately perceive in it the tension between unfinished clay and resolved human character.
I pursued an earthy, almost archaeological surface language, where every scraped texture and fractured plane preserves the memory of the sculpting gesture itself.
Rather than sterile perfection, I sought an honest corporeality ,a face weathered by labour, silence, endurance, and the erosion of time. This digital sculpture was conceived as an homage to traditional clay portraiture, allowing imperfection, asymmetry, and raw tool marks to become the emotional architecture of the form. The likeness carries a profound psychological fatigue, yet beneath the hardened expression there remains a restrained dignity. The layered striations and roughened transitions evoke the immediacy of hand-built clay maquettes, resisting over-polished digital aesthetics. I intentionally preserved the sculptural abrasiveness so the viewer could feel the presence of the hand rather than merely observe the anatomy. The work reflects my fascination with human resilience ,how memory, age, and suffering become embedded into the surface of the face like sediment upon stone.
