Flipped wacom pen functionality

I have an Intuos4L tablet and a Cintiq21UX and for whatever reason, the pen tip and eraser are basically flipped on the Cintiq only (when using zbrush). I can use it “normally” if i draw with the eraser, use alt, shift, and other modifiers. But if i try to draw with the pen tip it can only do the erasers one reversed function. alt, shift, etc dont work.

Everything works fine and in normal order with the intuos or a mouse. This only appears to be a problem in zbrush as well, everything works fine in photoshop. Any ideas?

is the cintique your main monitor or secondary? Are you clicking the zbrush icon shortcut with the pen or with a mouse/keyboard?

how strange, looks like it was because my cintiq was the secondary monitor. good to know, thanks!

You can keep your cintiq as your secondary monitor, but you need to do 1 of few different things.

  1. Always select the icon to launch Zbrush with the mouse.
  2. Set your icon on your bar and window+# to launch Zbrush (i.e. zbrush is my second icon so “window+2” launches Zbrush)
  3. Use your keyboard to launch zbrush.

No clue why that happens when using the cintiq, but it does…eh, you get around it.

have you checked your wacom settings? Not the ones in Zbrush the Wacom settings in your OS.
