This is for the problem Zbrush 3.1 unable to connect to licensing server Dll
Well Out of a Quick Boot, I Used this…
This is a fix meant for a Problem that AI had with Vista apperently about some registry issues, after doing this, i though hmm… Let me try my zbrush and see if it works this time, and pow!IT DOES :D!
btw im running Vista 64Bit, Quad9300 6GB of Ram. 9800GT

People here is the fix!

  • If the M$ link to SubInacl doesn’t work, just doa search in their site,and you’ll find the correct installation program.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Follow all the steps to download SubInAcl - Click Here

  2. Open up Notepad (in accessories in the start menu)

  3. Copy/Paste this code into Notepad, and replace the parts that say “YOURUSERNAME” with your actual user name:

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=restricted=r /grant=YOURUSERNAME=f /grant=restricted=r /setowner=administrators
subinacl /keyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=restricted=r /grant=YOURUSERNAME=f /grant=restricted=r /setowner=administrators

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=users=r /grant=everyone=r /setowner=administrators
subinacl /keyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=users=r /grant=everyone=r /setowner=administrators

  1. Click File>Save As and save the document as registryfix.bat. Save the file to the folder that contains the SubInAcl program that you just installed.

  2. Open that folder and click on the file, and the file will run. Let the file run completely until the window shuts itself. DO NOT end the process early.

  3. Restart and your problems should be fixed
