In Fishman, I sought to distil character to its purest essence, employing restrained geometry, deliberate asymmetry, and a playful visual language that evokes both curiosity and quiet narrative.
The exaggerated proportions, faceless countenance, and vividly coloured fish are intended to celebrate imagination over realism, inviting the viewer to complete the story through their own interpretation.
My sculptural practice often oscillates between simplicity and symbolism; beneath the seemingly naïve form lies an exploration of solitude, resilience, and the enduring relationship between humanity and nature.
