First time texturing

Hey all, just wanted to share my first texturing with z. Did a base mesh for the first time (never done any polymodeling before) in SILO and then did a little pushing and pulling and texturing. I’ll paint it next, but since it’s just a test piece to try to establish a pipeline, I’ve only done one side of this guy. Picture 1.jpg

Really nice, I presume you used the deco brush for the skin. Anyway have fun texturing.

I’m inspired. Your chest and back muscles rock! Attached sternum-to-shoulder as shown, he’d have one powerful downstroke contraction! =My $.02

(Has this creature got a “backstory” yet?!) Great model!

Wow, it looks like ET on steroids. The texturing is magnificant. I am brand new to Zbrush, and have strted working with the deco brush myself. Zbrush rocks, and so do you man. :+1:

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I’m not quite sure how to paint this guy, though. I guess I’ll try ZBrush painting first, then Photoshop. Just want to find a method I’m comfy with. There is a really cool dino painting zscript someplace here that would work great. This guys has taken such a different direction since the first concept drawing.

Just getting the hang of 2.5D painting and texturing (and zBrush for that matter). So much to learn! Adjusted in Photoshop. On to the next model…

…looks fine, i-pop:sunglasses: :+1: please continue…

With some help from Lemonnado, I was able to bring this guy over to C4D and render with a texture. Gotta check out my settings though, cuz this guy took about 8 hours to render (I saved him out as 300 dpi.) Luckily I was sleeping the whole time
