First time post, noob question

I had a model that I Zbrushed up (level 6) and exported out to create a normal map via Xnormal while my original model was posed in Maya. Somehow, UVs disappeared so:

If I open the model (with the 6 detailed levels) in Zbrush and then import the correct UV original model into the scene, how do i transfer all the 6 levels of detail onto the correct UV model?

Although I’m sure someone has asked a similiar question, I can’t find it in the forum and I really do appreciate any help…

thanks!

I’m not a professional but I think you should return it to lvl 1 and then make the correct uv and export it into obj .
then import it to zbrush ,divide it to lvl 6 (without sculping), and save

make a new layer ,put the previous model(the real model)and then use zproject to make all the sculpture in the new model and then you will have a new model with the same sculpture and correct uv

I’ll very happy to see ur reply

It ended up being a bit wacky, especially with the Zproject, but i followed your suggestion and dropped down to level 1 and exported as an .obj. I brought it into Maya and did a transfer UVs between the original model’s UVs and the Zbrush exported version. Transferred it perfectly, brought it back into Zbrush and it worked like a charm!

Thanks for the assist though as it gave me a heads start to figuring out how to fix things!
