first texture test

hi all,
i want just share my first texture in zbrush,
i just began my studies 3 days ago , and it was very fun to me!!
texture and render was done in zbrush , i just used photoshop to change my background color
i never found a time to learn something about texture and render
but i spent some time last days
now i will try do it better, i know that the image needs some more details
and i will try use it better in my next model .
i want say thanks to Antropus and Fabio Dona that help me with some tips about shader and texture in zbrush,
and Kris, thanks again to show me your skin shaders
please comments will help me very much to do my next texture test.

thanks
Alex Oliver

yep, ive got talent, bet you will show us many good things soon :] Your texture and render already looks very realistic !! I wonder how it will look when you will give the details you are saing about :]

Other than the specularity seems too high, I think this image is geat!

Really nice man, but I think the color is a bit oversaturated on the texture and I agree with Jason about the spec. Overall it looks pretty darn good.

thanks guys!

here’s a new render with some corrections on the specular

Looks a lot better! Good work!

looking cool Alex

great modeling and texturing job. you should use a blueish specular, up to meskin.zip (12.1 KB)

thanks all!!

rimasson–man ,thanks!! i love you work!! it is a inspiration to me!!

Alex

your first texture???
Wow I think you are born to do it!!!
definiately one of the best texture I seen on here!

Hello Alex:
You man looks so good, hope you will get a good knowledges on the shader.
Post your updates, please.
Keep working hard.
Arturo

He has very haunting eyes. It inspires all sorts of thoughts on the story he holds. Great modeling!

I think as a base this is pretty good. I agree with rimasson on the addition of blue, I’m a big fan of warm cool in all shots. I love the beautiful rich colours of the old Technicolor movies.

If you duplicate the shader and increase the specularity, then paint lightly on the so-called shiny areas, this should pop.

Such an excellent first textured model from you. I ralkly like the skin texture.

thanks all!

i will do anothers renders tests here
i am posting another view now

thanks
Alex

Finally we will see your habilities in texture too!
Amazing Job!
Yes, the skin tone was saturated in orange… maybe it’s the light you’re wearing… Maybe you must try a 3 points set of light to get better previsualization/realism on texturing.
There’s so much details in your model that we really can’t find where the effect comes from texture or from displacement.
If you post an image from color and difuse map it would be great!
Anyway, the result is amazing good and it must look perfect on a GI enviorement and impressive when you will add SSS to it.

Silvio Toledo

beautiful model and texture!. Only minor critique point from my side is the large size of the earlaps, it looks a bit unnatural to me.

thanks guys , i will see the details better
here’s another test
thanks

Yea, its that anatomy rule that the ears are usually as tall as the nose. Same gene? Dont know. But anyway, wow, impressive, i dont know if people have only started posting amazing work or if i have missed it so far. One of the best skins i’ve seen. Rendered in ZBrush? goes to search for tutorials

Hi Alex,

looking good man! You still can reduce the general specular to improve it. Older people have dry skin and probably the only parts that will have more specular are the tip of the nose, eyes/eyelids and inside of the ears. Apart of that, everything is pretty much very dry, even the mouth region. The skin tones are much better now!

Keep rocking my friend
