first serious model-Dragon

This is my first serious model made with ZBrush. I am fairly new to modeling. I only do it for a hobby. My previous experience was strictly in Rhino 3D, a nurbs modeler targeted at industrial design.

Anyway, here is my Work In Progress. Still needs a lot done: 1) wings haven’t been sculpted at all, 2) talons need to be shaped, 3) legs knee and below need work, 4) spikes on neck and tail need work, 5) inside of mouth needs to be finished.

He was modeled from ZSpheres. I wanted to keep the poly count relatively low, so I only subdivided to six levels, and I am adding geometry where I need it through edge loops. Currently he is at a little less than 2 million polys. I’ve seen heads posted that contained 5 million!

Anyway, comments welcome. Thanks.

PS. The three string trailers on his head were inspirted by a post from another ZBrush Centeral post, from Pixolator.

Very awesome, indeed. Other than adding the texture and shader, the only thing I might change is to furrow his brows a little, to make him look more evil.

it´s too rigid

I agree with the rigid comment- no doubt.

But he is modeled in a purposefully nuetral pose- I intend to animate him at a later date, and want a nuetral pose to set the rig. If I were free to pose him, perhaps he would be less rigid. He no longer is associeated with the original Z-Spheres- So I cannot pose him that way.
