First Post

Hello to all of you :-),

well after a few weeks playing with ZBrush i think i’m able to show my first creation.

Well i bought Z2 for creating characters which i can use in Poser.

Here is my first Creation which is still WIP ( mainly the texture ) but already fully poseable. Char is made completely in Zbrush2 and made poseable in Poser6. All Pictures rendered in Poser .
Enjoy.

This is looking really good !
It reminds me of the creature that Aaron Sims created for his DVD ( It’s at the top of the page )
You say that the texture is still W.I.P., so have you considered toning down the color just a bit ?
Just my opinion, but the color seems a little 'bold "

:+1:

Thanks for the comment and the tip :-).

Well after learning “how to” sculpt i now have to learn “how to” texture ;-).

I also made more as a test another creature before the lizard. It’s also fully poseable.

Hey they look great, nice work:+1:
I like the cute simplicity of the christmas one.

How do you pose them in poser? I have poser and would like to do it. Is it hard, Ive only learned the basics in poser.

A very good thread about making a Char posable is here by PusGhetty

At Renderosity are also numerous tutorials about the deeper possibilitys of Poser.

But beware…at first it can be really frustrating.

Well if you want to use 16bit Displacement Maps in Poser search in the Poser-Forums at Renderosity for “Freebie Wacro” . There is a little script which loads Displ-Maps ( exported as D88 ) and sets them correctly up in the Material-Room.

I think ZSpheres is about to handle posing…

ZBrush recently previewed a ZSpheres videoclip that was using ZSpheres as a way to not only distort but also pose ZB creatures.

I remember a rhinocerous model being revised. I think it’s for version 2.5? Email pixolator or aurick. It’s somewhere on this massive forum!

Well the conversion into a poser-model has a purpose for me. When i’m getting better at this i want to make some things for the poser-community. Perhaps some models will find their way into a marketplace.

Hmm, yeah, that’s true-- there are marketplaces around…

I was asking about a Poser workflow because I started into 3D at Poser’s site, looking for man-in-motion reference that didn’t violate any USA copyright laws. For my posing goals, ZB’s a better fit so I wondered… thanks.

Good luck with the marketing.
