Sup guys, I recently started working on zbrush about a month ago when I knew I was going to attend VFS for 3d. So I been working on it since. Here are a few head busts I started about a week ago. Vampire one is pretty much done but my Mino head needs tons of more work still C&C welcomed.
Not bad man not bad! Pretty interesting style on the guys head, I like the way you pulled off the stubble/beard, a bit dramatic but it definitly works The Mino looks good so far too, needs some detail of course but it looks like a great base.
The only thing that kinda looks off to me is the guys eye, if it was made seperate out of a sphere I think that would look better, but its no biggy, Keep workin at it your off to a good start!
thanks for the response man! I know his eye looks alittle off its 1 of the things i need to fix on him before he is finished. Im gonna start putting lots of detail into the mino bust this week when ever i get the time, ill be sure to post updates.
Quick update on the vampire bust. Fixed his eye/eyesocket so it doesnt look so un-natural. Just abit more then I will start texturing him. C&C Welcomed.
Here is a update on the vamp head. Having my first attempt at making cloth with zbrush so still much work to be done there. C&C are welcomed. Could use some tips on what to fix.
that looks a lot like the vampire from “30 Days of Night”.
Well the start of my model looked like the guy from “30days of Night” but my last update doesnt look too much like him, well anyway here is another update on my Mino head.
Quick update on my mino bust, Finished the horns still got alot to do on the head and the teeth, eyes and nose ring must get attention now. C&C are welcomed.

Well here is a quick texture/rendering Test done in zbrush with just a touch of photoshop added. Still a W.I.P C&C are welcomed.
i would define the neck and traps a bit more. That part of the sculpture looks more like blobs than a muscle and bone structure.
Yea it could use some more refining, going to fix that this weekend and add abit more detail to em. Hopefully I can make it abit more standout. Thanks for the tip any more tips are more then welcomed.
I’d say the minotaur show a lot more comfort with Zbrush than your previous sculpt. The neck needs some work, I’d just take a look at something like this. It seems like you’re trying to add muscles that aren’t there to make the neck look more tensed and msucular, and that’s tempting, but the human body provides plenty of muscles to exaggerate without having to make anything up.
With that being said, this model does seem to be more confidently accomplished than your last.

I’d like to see more detail in his hands and his collar thing, but I like the face and torso quite a lot. You may want to make the legs a little longer. He’s a penguinish thing, but I just don’t see how he could really walk with legs that stubby. Also, I’d like to see some more alphas and texturing added to really give some grit and realism.
Thanks Twitch!
Little update. Fixed a few things. Redoing his Necklace that was just a placeholder.C&C are appreciate.

No comments yet =/ any tips on whats wrong or good would be great.
To be honest, your modelling is too lumpy. What you need to do is vary everything to do with your brushes. Don’t just stick to the standard brush at the default value. Experiment with other brushes, other intensities and don’t be afraid to use the masking tool. Also, as Zach Petroc would suggest, work on your mass forms at a lower intensity then, as you increase your subdivision levels, you refine the form and details. Stuff like wrinkles are done last and can be done with a bump map instead. Also, don’t be afraid of modelling gently with a low intensity either.
Hope this helps.
