Hey guys this my first post on this forum I have veiwed it a bit but never posted . The studio i was working in, in Edinburgh just got closed **** !!! So thats me on my tod looking for a new job. Thought i would take a couple of mouths to put together a new reel I thnk this is going to be my first peice I’ll use .
Its a monkey slash fish lips, Its still needs work but I’ll look away for a while then finish it up . I had fun with it , i like the fat lips a lot of dudes put on there model so i thought I’d make fatter one haha . I did not follow design or anything just sculpted on top of a base mesh .

what you guys thinks?

Nice detail work and interesting concept! The top of the head seems a little untouched compared to the face, so maybe you could put some some veins or muscles along the temple and forehead to give it some more realism. Other than that, will he have hair? Can’t wait to see it textured and to see more of your demo reel, great job! :smiley:

I know this face, I had the pleasure of sharing a room with him at college.

Sorry to hear your unfortunate news - take solice in ZBrush.

Nice! It’s funny how his nose hole is as big as eyesocket :stuck_out_tongue:

I started the piece a few days ago to produce some new portfolio work to help me get a new post
The idea developed as I progressed. I liked the idea of a General but then it turned toward a person forced to serve his worlds Dictator (You know the deal).
I started with a base mesh, took it in to zbrush, sculpted, textured and then rendered it in maya with mental ray. Then I did some ps work using filters to get the grime look that I wanted.
Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome. I think I’m going to do the Dictator some time. I think he will have a big ass monocal! oh yeah I’m looking for work as a character modeling in London/UK .
