file write error when using goz

hi

today i encountered an error message when trying to send a simple geometry to c4d using goz.
Message: «file write error. Sorry the disk space is critically low. Please clear more disk space and then click ok to resume.»
I am using an iMac (osx 10.8.4) with 16 gb ram and have over 900 gb disk space available. Obviously zbrush does not approve of that and there is nothing to clear. Unfortunately i cannot quit the error dialogue. Clicking «ok» has no effect. The message stays on the screen. I am forced to quit zbrush with the provided system tool.
Up to 4r5 i did not have this problem, but, since i installed 4r6 something seems to be wrong.

Does anyone know something about this problem?

I am updating this post. After reinstalling goz, the feature works well.
Soory for the inconvenience.

Do you have the 4R6 P2 patch? You can tell by looking at the version number in the title bar when ZBrush is open. If you do not have that patch, run the ZUpgrader application found inside your ZBrush 4R6 folder.

hello aurick

thank you for responding and for your instructions. I could successfully fix the problem.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem, but I do have the P2 patch. I’m going to try reinstalling GoZ.

Thanks,

Ana

I have run the updater and also tried to reinstall GoZ. I am on 10.9, MacBook Pro, 8 gb ram, 161 gb free disk space, Photoshop CC. I also get the error about disk space after all this and must force quit ZBrush. I have seen a few threads asking about this, but haven’t found any more suggestions.

Would greatly appreciate assistance.

Thank you,
Cris
