Figure Using ZSpheres or Base Mesh?

I want to make a hulk-like figure that I want to be able to pose and I am wondering what the best method would be.

  1. Take the default human ZBrush figure and modify that.

or

  1. Create a figure using ZSpheres.

If I use ZSpheres, would I be able to pose it using the New ZSpheres 2 when it comes out or can I not use the ZSpheres with ZSpheres 2? Also if I use ZSpheres then I would have to create the hands using ZSpheres but that shouldn’t be too hard should it? If I use the default ZBrush human figure will I be able to pose it easier or will it be easier to pose a ZSphere figure?

Just wondering which method is better. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks

There is no best method. It is just a matter of what you are comfortable with. That is what is great about ZB…it gives you options.

For my money, if time is not an issue, I would go the zsphere route, as it sounds like it will help you learn a new toolset, which will ultimately be more helpful to you in the future, not to mention the satisfaction of creating work that is entirely your own, and not building on top of someone else’s work.

You should not, however, assume that you create with zspheres right now will be compatible with or adaptable to Zspheres 2. The figure can always be posed with ZB’s current transpose tools, which many artists use to great effect.
