First thing is this:
I am having a weird problem, if I make anything with Fibermesh I cant use the frame button, this is especially worse if I use the unify button in the deformation pallet and It seems I need to do that as I keep having things create off in weird places.
Usually when I hit the frame button I crash, or more precisely ZBrush stops “responding”.
(like if I make a Fibermesh it sometimes (and this seems random) lands on the canvas off somewhere like 900 X or Y for example, I know there is no such place but the floor appears WAY off in the distance, does that make any sense??).
The next thing is this:
Symmetry seems weird, I’m not sure if this is some how related to the first problem but it looks like symmetry is off by a random amount, in a simple example if I make a mask on a head (which I know to be symmetrical) and and use that mask to generate fibers It works peachy till I try grooming with symmetry on. What happens is that while I can get one side of the head looking great I wind up with the other side being totally bald or looking like its got a wicked case of mange (EWWWW!!! MANGE!!!).
This last one is just interesting:
If I stop crashing I can provide an example but for now shading and shadows have gone nuts somehow, shadows are made of large black squares and shading has become a swirly oil slick like effect. I fixed this some what based on someone else’s post where they were told to change the number of rays (this did nothing other then make rendering take forever) and the other was to change the angle, this did work but now instead of having one shadow I have lots of them, this sort of looks cool except I only have one light… I think…
Aside from no longer trusting the Frame button (these crashes take a LONG time to get out of) I’m having a total blast with this stuff but thee things are causing me some confusion and trouble…
