Fibermesh Hairstyle

So I am working on a hairstyle in Zbrush for exporting curves to Maya (see attached). It seems most of the groom brushes I use I can get the hair to straighten out, but at the same time it flattens out all the curves into a plane on its depth. This would be on an individual polygroup. Anyone know how to give it a little more volume in its depth??

You can portray thickness by having multiple groups on top of each other like I have don on the back, but its like having 3 planes of hair. Hard to get them intermingle more.

So just to illustrate the flattness issue I am getting… see attached

Using a groomHairLong straigtens, but depth is very little as seen in the right of the image. Not sure how to break it up.

bump for my question

More groups, more fiber segments. Keep at it, hair doesn’t groom itself.
