Fibermesh Direction

Hey there,

I wonder how to grow fibermesh only on the outside of a model. I noticed, that there is the same amount of fibers on the backfaces as on the frontfaces. I’ve seen someone (Paul Gaboury?) explaining how to get rid of the backface fibers but forgot who it was and how it worked. Problem is, anytime I would export curves, I get far more than neccessary. So, does anyone of you how to do it?

regards
Stefan

Hey Elmo,

Not sure if this is problem you’re having, but I asked a similar question a while ago. The answer was to turn off ‘double’ on the object that you’re creating the fibres on, before going in the preview the fibremesh.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Jim

Hey Jim,

that solved it. Thank you!
