hi,

when i create fibermesh, i get very fine, thin hair - even if i turn the max fibers number to i.e. 0.5
(in the tutorials i saw, the number of max fibers effects the fiber thickness, here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d67oTqaRtYA)

the only way for me to increase the fiber thickness is to use high “coverage-values” and root and tip thickness

does anyone know, why the fibers are displayed so thin even with max fibers numer set to a low value?

That video was done using version 4R2b. You have more options now. Combine ‘Coverage’ with ‘Width Profile’ to get wider strands.
