Few questions regarding SubTools

Hey all,

I have a few questions regarding subtools, so here goes:

  1. Can you copy an object that is a subtool, if so, how? The way I’ve been doing is extracting a new object with 0 thickness from the current subtool to get a new one, but I’m not sure if thats the correct method.

  2. Can you combine several subtools into one? For example I’m currently making some long nails for a character and have made the nails as subtools but there’s going to be a lot of nail subtools for each hand, so is it possible to make all these into one subtool sort of like merging layers in photoshop?

  3. How do you view your whole model with subtools without having the unselected subtools turning into a darker shade?

1.-- tool>clone
– tool>subtool>append (grab the clone)
2. get the subtool master plugin. (there is a merge function)
3. fill all objects with the same color (subtool master has a fill command)
- you can also change the settings for tools inside of the preferences panel.
