This was a test head I did for a potential client. He went another direction, but I may still continue to develop this guy. I need to retopologize it to add more resolution in the hairy areas and smooth it out. Plus I may add a body to him at some point. But for now, this is where he’s at. The tongue and eyes were subtools.
that looks frickin awesome. great job on the hair.
I love it. Very cool!
If you don’t care about layout of your topology, you could always do a local subdivision in ZB3 on the hair section… I did that on a model where I had too little geometry…worked out really well and you’d never know it without looking at the actual mesh.
how do you do local subdivision?
p.s., great work!
has character…
please continue
thanks zerodean!
This is real craftmanship. Reminds me of the 19th century sculptors.
And there lies my only “crit”: give this a white marble material! It’s so much more like marble than like baked clay!
Cool Kitty!

Wow! Blew me away. The hair! The fierceness! Absolutely stunning. You MUST continue this further. small_orange_diamond
Funny thing: when I look at it I feel more like whatching a snake then a cat…
wow, this is great
Thanks guys!
Should I make him an unknown Thundercat?
edit:
Actually Plakkie, I didn’t want this to look just like any tiger or panther. So I enlongated the nose a bit. Probably why it looks snake-like. The client actually wanted me to add a bit of werewolf to it, but not too much. I did a version where the nose was thinner, but then it started looking too much more canine than feline.
Well, I really like the snake/wherewolf thing that’s going on.
A Thundercat eh? Well, I can imagine him looking at Cheetara right now. Wrrraarrll!!
Fantastic kitty
Nice kitty. I think stay away from the thunder cat. they’re more human. Unless you make him one of mum-ra’s hench men. hehe. Only thing that looks odd to me is his mouth. I think the corner goes to far back into his jaw? I’m not really sure. I could be wrong. But Thats all that throws me off. Thats just me though. Keep up the good stuff!
