I was thinking of something like a new UI curve widget in the brush menu, called something like “pressure along stroke”.
This would act as a multiplier for the actual pressure. It would modify the pressure of the stroke as you’re drawing, slowly following the curve profile
This would let you paint with fake pressure with the mouse too.
Of course there’s no way of ZBrush knowing how long the path is going to be that you’re painting, so there would probably have to be an extra parameter, curve path length which would define the length of the full profile in zunits. After the path is completed the pressure modifier would remain at the last value of the curve.

There’s a similar feature -curve falloff- when you use curve mode but it’s pretty unpredictable, it depends on step size.
