I didn’t see a place specifically to make requests, so here it is. I was watching Joseph Drust’s Siggraph videos, and he mentioned as an issue the topic I am requesting an improvement for.
The RGB axis hint lines on the grid are, at least to my eyes, very faint, and can easily be obscured by the model itself while you’re working. Joseph even created a special mesh just to provide more substantial visual orientation hinting, but I think a few options/additions to ZB could make this feedback much better.
- The RGB (XYZ) “world” axes lines could be both bolder, and could extend all the way to the edge of the grid. That alone would probably be enough… It could be among the grid options if some would find it too distracting.
- Optionally, a trident such as most 3D apps (e.g. Maya) have in the lower left hand corner can be a nice way to help keep stay oriented in space.
