Looking very realistic. Good job!

So … I have reworked the sculpt and the eyes. I wanted to test the color version so I’ve completely redone the scene, the shader, lighting. Right now I’m just trying to see how far I can push this model… I don’t have plans for the final render yet so all those renders are just for test.

Please tell me what you think. :slight_smile:

Wow! The model is amazing! Can you explain how you did the material for the eyes? I am using vray in 3dsmax as a renderer too but I am struggling with making realistic eyes, and these ones just look AMAZING! It would be awesome to get a tutorial or explanation please!

Your work is looking great. The only critique I have is that the cranium shape seems too circular. Unless this is something you are trying to go for explicitly, I might suggest breaking that form up a little more organically. Compare in the attached image…

I like the top lighting the best. Maybe strong top and a softer side light and rear rim light?

Great work on this, very realistic. pores look great too.

any chance of sharing some info on your eye and skin shader? iv started dabbling with realistic rendering in maya with vray but still got a long way to go to achieve anything near as good as this.

personally i like the original lighting and the 3rd option in your latest post.

Great realistic portrait, mate! Did you use Zbrush’s surface noise and then added the pores and wrinkles with alphas?

This is great, the detail is incredible, would you mind explaining a little about how you got that level of detail? Great work.

Toxicassclown - I used just alphas, no noise parameter.

max swinton - I used alphas from pixologic website for the micro detail.

some final shader and lighting improvements. the next step is making hair and clothes I guess…
