“Au reservoir” can be said, but a reservoir is generaly a little “thing” (ink, perfume,… and I don’t see reservoir here (?)…
Dearest French “Au reservoir” is a common quote from Lucia from E.F Benson’s book on Mapp and Lucia. Lucia often uses it as a droll and playful take on the French expression. But why is that amusing? Why indeed. You see people on our drab island with our little gardens and brick houses find this sort of thing playful
I hope this clears up our grammatical discussion.
