I’ve been absent for a while so this takes me completely by suprise. Mentat7, I can honestly say that your work is my favorite out of anyone’s who frequents this forum. You invoke so much personality into your works its amazing. I have often wished I could take the models you have made in Z and make them in to real material figures to mess around with. Jealously is clearly the motivating factor behind any insulting of your work. I just hope you decide to return, this forum won’t be the same without you.

This thread has made me both sad and angry in equal measure. Sad because circumstances have pushed you to this hopefully not irreversible decision, angry because it is the actions of an obvious vituperative buffoon that has been the cause of it (nor is this the first time he has “achieved” this effect either).
I hope you will take comfort from the unsolicited support that has rallied around you. I think it is clear to everyone who is the good guy and who the bad in all of this. Sadly it is less clear who is the winner and who the loser - certainly most of us feel we fall into the latter category.
This forum is about art, not personalities. At its best (and you are certainly a part of that) it is a place for sharing and growing. It is sad to see it being diminished by a playground bully - and at the end of the day, whether he has the wit to realize it or not, it is his reputation that is being damaged, not yours. If he continues the path he seems intent on following, he will soon end up friendless and with nowhere to publish himself - in his case not from choice.
I hope you will reconsider. If not, then good luck in all that you do and I look forward to seeing your work again on a future website of your own.

Dont go my friend, I shall return again one day as an active poster here and it will not be the same without you. It should be obvious now that no one can touch you, not with support this big. We all know who the loser is.

as usual I come to this sort of thing a bit late; much of what went on prior to your farewell post, I am unaware of - still, I can easily imagine, as I did come across a bit of it at renderosity. And knew it wasn’t you right off. The give away was the rather poor command of english.
Everyonme is saying “don’t go…” I’m saying do what you feel is best for you to do - though I do agree with aforementioned sentiments. Regardless of what we all think of this, this is your choice to make. I suppose by now you have a notion as to what we here think of you. Best wishes, best luck, and most importantly be well.
