Great Work Mariano ! congratulation on the top row :+1:

Can you explain or make small tutorial about how you made those complex decoration pattern on the cloths ? especially on the Assassin Creed model ?

Thanks

Love this character. The sculpt is fantastic!

Thank you fellas! I’m happy you like it!!

brian20 / Galero / Marzalet / Cuvey I aways use the same material, which is a Hard Rough Plastic. You could check the "Quality"tab on the render menu and try to do something to sharpen up the result.

smeagol It’s all about masking and inflating… I’ll put together some tutos when i get time  cheers!

I like the portrait! I think the only critique I can give is that the skin looks a bit sickley in the coloured version. Very it’s a bit too yellow and pale, could use some more colour variation in his skin (especially if his complexion is pale).

And there is this one part bothering me around the eye area. Where the eyeball and the tear duct meet? It feels a little disconnected somehow in the 3/4 view (and a bit in the front view). I see a little black gap on the left eye so maybe that is it.

Other than that, I really like how it turned out. He has a very unique looking face. Very big eyes but not big enough to give it a caricature look (in my opinion anyway) which is hard to do for most people so awesome job on that bit. His hair is awesome too. I wish my hair was
that cool… Anyway overall nicely done for sure.

PS: Can’t wait for those tutorials on the pirate sculpt. Looking forward to them nudge nudge

really nice work man!
it’s a bit too symmetrical though

great

Thanks guys!
I did some minor changes based on feedback. Specially on the eyes.
Hope it looks somehow better.

Thanks!

That this in Mariano, shaders of the new generation of games! Beautiful work.

Amazing sculpt, I love it.

Wow, great work! Please don’t tell me you’ve placed the stubble by hand?!

I was wondering, would you mind sharing your thinking in regards to the topology? You obviously know your stuff, so there’s probably a good reason for the triangles and incomplete edgeloops around the eyes.

marianosteiner, As pirates go that is the most authentic and realistic looking ones I have seen.
Great post, keep up your amazing talent.
