Falling men

So… as some of you may no(actually probably very few of you know) I’m working on a really detailed sculpture of rosy the riveter, now the model has gonne to detailed for my computer to render so I have to wait to use a friend computer … in the main time I decided to work on another project, the problem is that I though this would keep me entretained longer and well its pretty munch finished now so I decide to share it with you

I’m not a huge fan of myst but it was the first computer game I’ve ever play(yeahh I know… not the best game to start with). The original artwork was created by This guy who is insanely talented I do feel he really doest blend as well with the background but I’ve decided not to overwork it

I used zbrush for modeling and texturing, maya for rendering and photoshop to compose it all together. hope you like it… C&C are appreciated

This is brilliant, I’m a huge fan of the Myst games, as irritating as they are

If you want to try getting him to fit with the background then you might want to try doing a colour adjust on just him in photoshop. Add a bit more cyan or green and he should blend in better.

Also in compositing they do something called light wrapping to try get objects to look more integrated in a scene. Light wrapping happens in real life, were light tends to fresnel the silhouette.

You can fake this in photoshop by ctrl clicking on his alpha, invert your selection, feather the selection by 0.5 or even 1 pixel and just hit backspace on his layer. This will reduce the oppacity of his silhouette.

Hopefully it works as well for you as it does for me.

Hahah thanks … that’s what I call team work  … I decided to re-render the whole thing on High res and I’ll definitely try this method, I did tried to do something similar but this definitely seams like a better way  I’ll keep you updated

I took it to a little different direction with a cooler look and overall a more saturated look. this is the High res version
