Fail to download Decimation Master.

Once files are unzipped and extracted from downloading the Decimation master Plugin for ZBrush, step four says Copy the PrintingExporter.zsc to your ZPlugs folder. However, I fail to see that file in the downloaded folder.

I deleted the zipped folder and ran fire fox. Went to Pixlogic site and downloaded the Decimation Master tool again. Again, same results. Missing file called PrintingExporter.zsc.

Is there another place where I can get that file?

DecimationMasterWinV1.13.zip (205 KB)

You found a typo. It should read “DecimationMasterWinV1.13.zsc”

Printing Exporter is a different plugin entirely.

In the ZPlugs folder is DecimationMasterWinV1.13.zsc, as well as the folder called DecimationMasterDataWinV1.13. when ZBrush is launched, the Decimation Master does not show up in the upper horizontal menu under zplugin.

Actually, I only have four that show up: Misc Utilities, Projection Master, Quickscetch, and Deactivation.

Whilst in my zplugs folder I have several more files that should support other plug ins. However I only see four plug ins. Everything that is in my Zplugs folder is as follows. Could any of these be interfering with Decimation master:
DecimationMasterDataWinV1.13
PaintStopData35
PrintingExporterDataWinV1.12
SubToolMasterData35
TPoseMasterData35
TurntablePlusData35
UVMaster_checkers
UVMaster_Win_1.0
UVMasterData_1.0
ZappLinkData
AdjustDFZsize_PC_35.zsc
DecimationMasterWinV1.13.zsc
HDRenderAll_PC_35.zsc
ImagePlane_PC_35.zsc
PaintStop_PC_35.zsc
PrintingExporterWinV1.12.zsc
SubToolMaster_PC_35.zsc
TransposeMaster_PC_35.zsc
TurntablePlus_PC_35.zsc
UVMaster_1.0.zsc
ZAppLink3x.zsc

The reason it’s not there is you’re launching 3.5 R2. Not 3.5 R3.

You’ve installed it in the correct folder and you’ve installed it correctly. But you’re launching the wrong version. Please deactivate your ZBrush 3.5 R2 copy (using Zplugin>Deactivation>Web Deactivation) and then delete the ZBrush 3.5 R2 folder. Then run the R3 version from within the ZBrush 3.5 R3 folder.

you must copy the files in ZStartup/ZPlugs and not in ZData/Zplugs folder. Perhaps the problems comes from here.

According to his screen shots he did put them in the ZBrush 3.5 R3/ZStartup/Zplugs folder and he installed them correctly.

His problem is coming from the fact that he’s then running ZBrush 3.5 R2. Not only is this not where the plugin was installed, but the plugin wouldn’t run in R2 anyway because it requires R3.

Sorry, I didn’t see the screenshots the first time I load this page…

adrianis, you are using ZBrush 3.5 R3, all the plugins are designed to work with ZBrush 3.5 R3. You must upgrade (for free) to ZBrush 3.5 R3 to being able to use them.
If you didn’t install 3.5 R3 yet and didn’t receive the download instructions, open the ticket at the support center.
