Faceted maps after mesh import.

If I export my subd1 to max , change the UVs, and import back to my tool in Zbrush4r4 , when I try to extract anykind of map (Polypaint, Displacement, Normal…) of the highest subdivison , all maps seem to be faceted. Any solution? Am i doing something wrong with the import-export? Thanks.

what are your settings for export inside of max?

try this.
convert mesh to ePoly
convert mesh to eMesh
convert mesh to ePoly

export

import into Z and see if that fixes it. (this used to work)…no idea why…gotta love max.

You can also try to spin your UVs 2x inside of Z
