extruding a plane

real quick, I’m certain I saw this move but I can’t remember where. A guy created a plane and then somehow extruded it out, basically giving it 6 sides. anybody know how to do this? I believe in max its called shell.

hmmm. I think there is a lot of way.

  1. you can use zsphere then goto Topology>Select Topo and select your mesh. after that, there is a Skin Thickness slider inside the Topology rollout. increase that and preview your mesh. if it is desiring to you Make an Adaptive Skin.

  2. Store your Morph Target then go to Deformation>Inflat. then after that go back to your Morph Target rollout then click create diff button.
