Hello and thank you for your time,
I have a relief sculpt on a circular-plane polymesh. Is there a way to take this plane and extrude it alittle to make some thickness. Similar to a coin? Mabye even add some ripples to the extruded edge to make it look like the ripples on a coin.
Lemon.
1) Store a morph target using Tool >> Morph Target >> StoreMT
2) Use an offset deformation along the appropriate axis. You’ll need to move the disk forward the amount of thickness you want. It helps to angle the mesh slightly so that you can see the distance being moved before you release the slider.
3) Use Tool >> Morph Target >> CreateDiff Mesh.
4) You’ll now have a new object in your Tool palette. Select it and you can sculpt those edges you want. The easiest would be with radial symmetry (found in the Transform palette).
