Hi,
I’m running R6 on my MacBook Pro. But from the moment I start ZBrush, my CPU vents go crazy. Immediately after ZBrush is launched, the CPU activity and the HD activity go through the roof. The vents in my MacBook make so much noise like I have never heared before (and I am rending CPU intense projects all the time on this computer). The notebook gets also so hot that I have to quit ZBrush immediately because I am afraid that something overheats inside. After ZBrush has closed, the computer calms down immediately.
Has anyone a similar problem? I am using this computer all the time with Photoshop, Cinema 4D and also with earlier versions of ZBrush (through Bootcamp though); but I have never had a problem like this.
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
OSX version: 10.7.5
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
Edit: It looks like the CPU only goes crazy if ZBrush is the ACTIVE window.
