Extraction Problem.

Hi there Guys, I’m new to Zbrush and I have some issues with mesh Extraction
the problem is when I’m trying to mask a specific part of my mesh, the mask pen brush affect the other side of the mesh (picture-1 and -2) I want to Avoid that.

and because of that when I extract the mesh it ended up something like picture -3

any suggestion on how I can fix this problem?

Which version of ZBrush are you using?

What settings are you using in the Tool >> SubTool >> Extract sub-menu?

I’m using Zbrush 4r4, and actually I didn’t adjust or change anything the settings are at it’s default, unless I did something unintentionally.
but the thing is that the mesh I’m trying to extract is an extracted mesh itself. could it be the reason?

brush.auto masking.BackfaceMask

Your mesh is so thin that your brush is grabbing both sides. Just turn on backfaceMasking (make sure you have your mask brush active, just hold ctrl when clicking the button).
