The ‘extract mask’ functionality is quite usefull, but the sharpness depends on the sharpness of the mask, which in turn depends on the resolution of the mesh. Polygroups on the other hand can have sharp edges independend of the resolution of the mesh, for example by slicing them with one of the slice brushes. So I was wondering if it would be possible to extract a polygroup in the same way as mask extraction. I have tried masking just that polygroup, but that mask is never as sharp as the polygroup.
