Hi, so im fairly new to zbrush, i know you can obviously paint onto the model and export the texture, but ive notice you can have skin shaders n stuff and then paint on to those and get a more realistic effect, but how can i export that material within the texture file so i can use it as a texture in ike c4d. can this b done or not.
cheers
Pete
zbrushes materials are only read by zbrush. So a no
You can’t take Max materials into C4D, or C4D materials into Maya, either.
Materials tell the rendering engine what to do with light. Since each program has a different rendering engine, materials are unique to the program.
That having been said, ZBrush does have a way to convert many materials from other apps into ZBrush materials. That’s through the MatCap feature. But it’s not possible to use MatCap to send materials into other programs.
alrighty, thanks for the replies.
