exporting texture from Z-brush

I used the projection mapping to copy the face until I got something I wanted. Now I only want to export the map for that texture in the same U.V. format; but I have no idea how to do it. All I want to do is reimport the image; maybe touch it up on photoshop and then re-import it to 3ds max; but the solution has long since eluded me.

Does anyone know how to do that?

tool>texture>“col>txt”

texture>export

And another thing - if the texture looks different when you apply it in your 3d program, in Zbrush you must click “flip V” in the “texture” tab and after that “export” don’t worry if the texture looks messy on the model in Zbrush. After you have exported it you can click “flip V” again. Now it appears correct again. :slight_smile:

Thanks guys, knowing it was flipped I just set the tilling to 1 and -1 instead of 1 1 and that seemed to fix it :smiley: thanks for all the help.

Out of interest, are you not noticing that Zbrush fails to smooth the Uvs, you cant be using very low poly models to not notice it?
