Exporting polygroups to Modo Material Group

Hi all, I am working on a project where I would like to render and texture in Modo. Is threre any way I can export a subtool with several polygroups where each polygroup will end up in modo as a material group or selection group?

I can create these in Modo manually but the only downside is that to do this effectively each polygroup needs to be physically disconnected from each other so that in modo I can click a polygon and it will select all the attached polys - and then can easily make the material group.

Appreciate any help or alternative ideas, many thanks
Steve

use UVmaster and unwrap based on polygroups.
Then inside of modo just select each island and set a material or selection set as you see fit.

Thank you beta_channel. I have not ventured into UVmaster yet so now is as good a time as any! I will give it a bash, good to know it can be done. I’ll report back later in the week when I get time to play with Zb again! (sadly, only get to do this 3d thing as a hobby!)

Cheers
Steve

Thanks for that - seems to work well!
Cheers
