Exporting out timelapse MOV problems

Do you need quicktime to export out zbrush movies? I tried to export out a history based timelapse and got that error. Also the history seems to be independent for each subtool which works well for actual work, but looks awful in movie format. I had a eyeball float in the model the entire time without it showing its sculpting or painting.

I would ideally like to avoid installing quicktime since it always tries to force itunes on you, and the updater is annoying. Quicktime has always been buggy for me on Windows.

Yes, ZBrush uses Quicktime for the export, so you must have it installed.

any chance in the future for export of avi, mp4, and other file formats?

I’ve no idea, I’m afraid.

Exporting a PNG sequence would be nice and is standard in most other packages. However, Zbrush4 is really not known for being user-friendly, usability, and having the obvious features one would come to expect…
