exporting multiple objects from 3ds max - creating subtools?

I have a character I want to export into zbrush, the character is made up of the main body and two eyes. They are all seperate objects: is there a way to export all three and have the two eyes be subtools? nothing is textured yet.

What are the best export settings?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there andalusian, just export all of your objects from Max as an obj and import them into ZB. Within ZB take the main model, draw it onto the canvas, hit “t” on the keyboard to make it active and in the Tool/Subtool palette click on append. Select one of your eyes and do the same thing with the other eye. You have now 3 subtools.

Subdivide your model a bit more and there you go. You are ready to do some sculpting magic.

Hope that helps.

If you’re running with 3.5 or have Subtool Master installed, you could also use multi-append within that plugin and quickly bring in a bunch of subtools

True that GavinG

awesome, thanks guys!
