Exporting movies to Quicktime

I looked up how to do this, and it says to go to Movies, and hit “export”. I don’t show an “export” command in my movies dialogue box. I purchased quicktime pro, but I can’t tell how to get the movie there to save it as the instructions say once it’s dialogue box is opened. I am using the Mac version of Zbrush, is that why?

There is currently no Quicktime export in the MacOSX version of ZBrush but if you have Quicktime Pro you can use Turntable Plus to create a Quicktime movie:

  1. Set up your model and set the ‘Start’ and ‘Stop’ positions in Turntable Plus. For a standard turntable these positions will be the same.
  2. Press the ‘Render Movie’ button and the options dialog will appear. Check the ‘export image’ option. You can disable movie recording if you want - the ZBrush movie won’t be used.
  3. Press OK and chose a location for the files. Save them as ‘PSD’.
  4. When done, start Quicktime Pro and press ‘Open image sequence’ in the file menu. Select the first image of the sequence you saved in (3).
  5. Once the images are loaded into Quicktime you can export them as a Quicktime movie.

Turntable Plus is available from the Download Center.

HTH,

Thank you for the response.

I didn’t realize that was the case, the website didn’t distinguish the instructions as such from where I had found them.

1 last question, is there a place to find by category such as “zspheres” a list of commands for various activities, or are the video tutorials our “notes to be taken” area only?

I find it difficult to find such instructions.

Thank you!

Much of the information on the Wiki still applies:

For changes introduced in the Mac version you may find the PDF available here useful:

Thank you for answering my questions. It is appreciated! Now the hard part…learning!

Have a great evening.
